would be either boxing or jeet kune do, I like the emphasis in JKD on variety, reinvention and all round atheleticism and strength training but its taught no where around here at all, so I’m just reading about it at the moment, which isnt going to be any use really.
I thought about boxing but I dont know anything about the clubs around here, I knew some people in school who went to boxing clubs and I think the clubs remain a youth phenomenon rather than adults.

When I was a child I did Karate for years, I progressed through the grades and while I wasnt good at sparing I learned all the fixed positions and had a lot of fun.
When I was at university I studied a couple of different martial arts as a fitness regime, I did some Jeet Kune Do, some Thai Kwon Do and Kick Boxing.
I think I’d really, really like to learn Wing Chun and Jeet Kune Do, though I’m pretty sure there are no dojos or schools near me, maybe not in the whole of Northern Ireland.
I’d love to learn martial arts in the widest possible sense though, strategy, military maneouvres, personal defense and all of the philosophy and thought that accompanies it.
