I’ve been songwriting since I was 14. Music has always been harder than the lyrics for me, though not impossible. Co-writing is great fun too, when you get the right person to mix it up with and throw ideas around.
Over the years I have accumulated nearly 60 songs, of country, rock, blues, pop and folk genres. Only two of 57 I dislike. Some I wrote in minutes, and one in particular took over a year!
I don’t write much anymore, but I enjoyed it when I did, and if you can get past “that sounds stupid”, it’s a lot of fun.
