Tonight I ate mostly vegetables (partially because there were no good vegetarian options) and then choose fruit salad over ice cream. I actually think it was more satisfying, too. :)

Today I was texting my mom and she said that she is going to try the Daniel Diet. I read a tiny bit about it and I’m curious to try it now too. It could help me with this goal as well as my goal of cutting down on processed food!
I keep letting this goal slip past me. I will eat really healthy for a few days, and then eat everything terrible in sight just so it’s not there anymore. it’s a terrible habit. And I don’t know why it started. So, I am going to end it. Now.
The dining hall at my school allows us to take out either a drink, a piece of fruit, a cup of ice cream, or a pastry. However, people always end up taking other things out or taking more than one thing out, so today I took a cup meant for ice cream, put a little bit of hummus in it and then filled it to the top with raw broccoli. Tada!! Healthy snack for this afternoon. :) I also have a stash of apples in my fridge because I had been taking those out last week.
I keep putting this goal off and it’s got to stop. I have been eating terrible and I think it’s because I know what’s bad, so I go for it. Like ice cream. And bagels. Dining halls are awful places. . . but, I will not give in to temptation any more. I am going to start treating myself better and taking care of my body.
