learn about my ancestry

I just got back from Hawaii and they had a whole family tree of Hawaii’s royal lineage going back 9 generations. That’s freakin’ awesome. I am going to try and create a family tree of what I know pretty soon.

Where to begin. I am filipino on both sides, and my parents were immigrants to this country. I have been to the Philippines, and have only seen a picture of my great grandparents. I don’t really know too much more. I’m sure at least the church in the village where my mom grew up has some records there and I may start to investigate someday. I can also talk to my paternal grandmother to get some insight before she gets too old.
