Update and improve my wardrobe

Came in the mail today. Yeah, it’s not part of my wardrobe, but it is part of improving my appearance. First stab (pun intended) at shaving with it was successful. _{I still have my nose.} There are scrapes all over my face, but few nicks. A little more practice at getting the angle of the razor right, and things will go smoother (pun intended) next time.

A nice scarf yesterday. It has black, white, grey, and red stripes, and is a nice length so it wraps around my neck with a lot left over.
Now I need to get a new winter jacket to go with it.

I picked up a new trench coat. My aunt died last month, and since the weather was supposed to be awful for the funeral (which it was) I went out and bought a new London Fog trench coat. I wore it to work on my birthday along with one of the ties I bought, and received a few compliments from my co-workers. : )

While shopping for birthday gifts, and since my b-day is coming up, bought a couple for myself. One tie is a basic black, à la Mad Men, while the other is metallic red. Both are very smart, and should counter the churlishness of my personality to some degree, provided I wear them with a dress shirt and not a t-shirt.

I picked up a pair of new dress shoes, a belt, and a pair of suspenders. The belt may be a bit wide for me though! I was sure I was a 30 waist, but maybe I’m still a 28? Either that, or this belt was mislabeled.

My steampunk goal, I will look into some clothing in that style. Maybe a top hat?

Of my old clothes. There are a ton of t-shirts I don’t need (or wear) which I will give to Goodwill, plus some old sweaters, and button shirts. Once I have some room in my closet I’ll seriously get down to checking out some newer fashions. Any (helpful) ideas, or thoughts would not be ignored.

I went out today, and bought a new suit jacket for my buddy’s wedding. It was off the rack, but it looks nice, fits well, and was 25% off.
Next I need to pick up some new ties, and dress shirts.
