My husband says that great dog names need to be easy to Yell, and most definitly not a person name.
Hmm, guess he has a point, I have never met a person named Lassie.

Hmm, guess he has a point, I have never met a person named Lassie.Worked on the yard this weekend, and identified a few items that need fixing up before our yard can be officially declared a dog habitat.
Not only did we address a few spots where neighbors dogs had started to dig, but we started a platform for the eventual placement of a dog-house. (The plan is to have an inside dog, but even dogs need their own little place to hang out.)
We made sure the area had good drainage, feels safe, and has easy access to water. We won’t place anything on the “foundation” until the actual pooch comes home… not sure on the size etc.
Oh, well, got distracted by a big blow out with a friend.
Now that I am re-grouping, I looked around.. and Hey! I still don’t have a dog. Must get started again… the shelter is closed for today, but I could sneak over there tomorrow morning. Putting it on my calendar this time, if i make a date for it.. I am more likely to follow through.
