I’ve written loads in my entries already!

Well I enjoyed my 2 day course, and am quite pleased with the results. Not sure if I’ll do any more… it’s quite a dangerous hobby (danger of glass cuts, consuming glass splinters, lead poisoning, the nasty chemicals at the end), and you need to be quite tidy when working (something I’m not!). Also expensive to set up – you need so many tools and the materials are not cheap! Managed to come away with a nasty cut on my knuckle, which is healed on the outside but must have scarred near the bone, so is still painful. I’m still so glad I did it, and maybe I will do some more one day. Or maybe I’ll try glass fusing…..
I’m so desperate to do this….it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while but just not had the time to do anything about it. I am studying part time at the Open University as well as working full time, so didn’t want to commit to an evening class. Then I decided to go for a weekend’s course when I am on a break from studying. Couldn’t initially find one for beginners in the period I wanted that wasn’t about 200 miles or so away. Then it turned out there is a weekend course within walking distance of my house :-). 11th and 12th November, and I can’t wait.
