Have a good relationship with my family

This is a neverending goal and I am purging my neverending goals from this list. I’m making good progress, things are headed in the right direction and that’s good enough for me.

My fiance is helping me a lot with this. We had a mother’s day party and we’re going to do it for father’s day too. I think this is going to solve my problem entirely. There’s just no communication in my family. I mean lack of frequency, not an inability.

This is being made much more difficult by the fact that my brother is trying to do sales techniques on all of us.

However, my being engaged is causing me to have more to do with my family than usual, and it’s kinda nice.

I’m taking my fiance to meet the rest of the family in a couple of weeks. That’ll be good. Then we actually have to start visiting them more often. OY!

I called my brother on his birthday. That’s something, right? I think I’ve always been late with it on other years.

I didn’t even call my dad on Father’s Day. Nice going on the goal, Ms. Lazypants.

I do, really. But we don’t talk enough to be really close, and the older I get, the more I see love relationships as transient (that’s sad…) and the more important family and friends are.
