Do NaNoWriMo

Too much to think about between all this prenatal business and the diabetes.

Last year I was foiled by a trip in November. This year I have ANOTHER TRIP planned. It wasn’t on purpose, I swear.

Alright. Flunked out this year. There’s always next year. I can’t help that I had this trip right at the beginning, dealt me a devastating pscyhological blow about getting behind.

Ok. I have a loose plot. I have one character. Everything’s sort of twisty-turny together already and it’s freaking me out a bit. I have slightly over 1000 words but have crashed my program I was using to word process. WAY TO GO!!! I can’t freaking get my 660 words I need to get before I can sleep.

DAMMIT.

Um. I still have no idea what I’m going to write about. I can’t even decide on a genre!

Oh, but I did get out On Writing, by Stephen King, as inspiration. Between that and No Plot, No Problem! I think things would be okay… except for this darned trip.

I’m getting really worried about this. I still have no ideas, and I have a trip planned where I will miss four days in November! I want to write anyway while I’m gone, but my traveling companion says NO.

I can’t figure out if this means I should cheat and start four days early, or if I need to do massive catching up. I REALLY hate to be 8,000 words behind before I even start. Talk about disincentive.

I also took the test and got and 8. That’s good. It’s my favorite number.

All y’all need to read No Plot, No Problem if you haven’t already. It really calms one in the face of that gigantic number.

It’s coming, oh gods, just around the corner!!!
