learn hebrew

At any rate, I’m finishing my class. It’s just that I feel the pace was so slow I never learned anything. I would have been far better off studying on my own. Maybe someday I’ll take another class.

I’m in class, and it’s just dragging and awful!!! Not the teacher’s fault, but we have people in the class who are practically illiterate in English so how in the hell can they learn Hebrew?

I wonder how much Hebrew I will actually need in order to convert under Conservative auspices. Anyway, I’ve bought a book to help with prayer Hebrew. It’s really great! My reading speed is definitely improving, and I’m seeing so many connections with Arabic. That makes it feel familiar and cozy to me.

My next step is to find someone to help me with pronunciation since I do have a couple of questions. Maybe I will just go over the prayers with the rabbi at our next meeting, or perhaps I’ll arrange a meeting with that lady I met at the synagogue the other day. She volunteered to help me.

Well, that’s only the I course. I should probably also locate the II course, and a real class as well.

I am not really interested in becoming fluent. I would rather improve my Arabic when it comes down to that. However, I MUST improve my reading speed. Pimsleur doesn’t help with that so I suppose I’ll have to find a live class.

I don’t think I REALLY have to worry about this until after summer though, so I’m putting it on hold for a while.

Several more hours to go of surreptitious studying. Then I probably need to find a formal class.

Finally into the third person, alright!!! Making decent progress, not sure what I’ll do when I finish this set of Pimsleur. Need to get into the reading/writing more, will probably buy some books after checking out some reviews.

Listening regularly to Pimsleur at home. Making a lot of progress, although I’d like to get out of the first and second person!
