I’ve made new friends at my new job which was the point of this goal. I have also had to come to grips with the fact that not everyone wants to have warm, friendly relationships with co-workers. So, I’ll appreciate the friends I’ve made and not worry about the people who want to be more distant.
I’m keeping this goal because I want to make new friends in my new neighborhood after I move.

Well, friends, I’ve had a bad couple of weeks. My mother died on July 18 after a 2-day illness. I’m still not over the shock—and I dread whatever comes after that.
Just wanted to let you all know why I haven’t been around much. I hope to be a bit more active on 43 Things in the coming weeks.

I think you are our only team member in London. I know that you habitually walk, which may have been the safest form of transportation this morning. Let us know how your are doing if you get a chance.

Okay, team, here’s a question. How do you keep track of your friends, particularly on-line ones? What is the modern-day equivalent to the little black book?
I currently use my PDA, which works well for people I have phone numbers for, but may not be the best when the main contact information is an email address.
I have never depended on the address book that goes with my email, just put in whatever addresses make it more convenient. Do any of you use an email address book? Do you have recommendations on which email service has the best facility for keeping contact information?
