I’m clearing the decks for something, so I’m going to declare this done after this final report. I think I got what I needed from this Thing and I’m pretty happy with how my new years resolutions worked out. I’m realizing that it’s pretty hard to set really good ones that are going to be meaningful for a whole year—I’m only coming to that realization at this point of my life because this is the first time I managed to pay any attention to my new years resolutions after the first month!
I’ve gave up on two earlier in the year: run a 5k, the 2007 TBR Challenge
Completed three earlier in the year: prepare 2006 taxes for accountant, present at the Mobius conference, work through the book Lighten up my body—Lighten up my life
Here’s progress on the rest:
Practice Yoga
still doing this
exercise daily
I stopped logging it but I’m still doing it, which feels like true progress!
eat healthily
Continuing to improve here
Do NaNoWriMo
I’m giving up on this, which is sad. I really wanted to do it, but I really want to get some other things done, too, and this was getting in the way. Maybe next year.
host a party
we may do our first, very small, dinner party in the next couple of weeks
Read 50 books in 2007
Done!
Eat a salad (and one fruit) a day
This is working for me
present at the Missouri Library Association conference
Done!
watch 100 movies in 2007
84. I’ll probably make it.
make my bedroom and study peaceful, sacred spaces
won’t be done this year, but I’ve made progress and hope to complete them in the next few months
