A boy is coming over tomorrow night and I have really buckled down and cleaned up the apartment. I’ve decided I have too much “stuff” (clutter) and I want to get rid of it. The first thing gone was the old broken TV – it felt so good to get rid of it. I’ve also tossed things that I never look at and generally just put things away. I do have to purchase another bookshelf as my collection has outgrown my current one.

I’ve started this routine on the weekend so that the bathroom, kitchen and bedroom areas are cleaned each week since those are the high traffic zones. And then I pick up the clutter in the living room and dining area as well. I’ve also made sure that the dishes are done every night (don’t have a dishwasher). Like my mom always said, “It feels good to have a clean room!”
