I hardly attacked my nails at all yesterday. It was not only because I was being mindful not to. I spent time with someone last night and therefore couldn’t do it, and then went straight to bed because I was tired. Normally I might bite them while watching TV and then while I read a book in bed.
I realise being alone helps provide the opportunity for nail biting. It is a very bad side effect of being a loner. I think it became a habit for me as a child when I read books, and I am still doing it.
I don’t do it when I am with people.
I hope that knowing this helps me stop it!
