write 5 application forms for jobs

• Finish job ap3 ^{see below}
• Follow up lead from Saturday ^{ap started}

Job 3
Turned out to be slightly odd. A basic form was e-mailed to them & then I had to phone ‘for more details’. I suspected this might be the dreaded telephone interview and I was right. I think it went ok but I won’t know till they either “Get back to me” or not. Basically if I don’t hear in a couple of days it will be too late to fill in the actual full form so that will be that.
So that’s 3 forms down then. One left to fill in & another one to find.

  Sheesh! Job2’s application form was easy to fill in but then when I downloaded it from
  Googledocs
  it was a total mess.Somehow lots of empty extra pages had been added. Try as I might I could find no way to get rid of them.

  I thought. Ha! NeoOffice made mincemeat of the formatting of the form. Useless :-(
  Appleworks
  & send it as a pdf I thought – in despair. Ah- it opens but I can’t type into any of the tables to input my details.
  Find a free or cheap downloadable programme to edit pdfs on a mac
  Nope can’t find anything.
  An internet cafe
  & use their computers & copy of word.It’s shut.
  Buy word for mac
  Ok if I was going to do that I needed to do it when I was a student. The price is terrifying! I’ glad I didn’t buy it then though as the student edition comes complete with a nasty warning that as soon as you are no longer a student you mustn’t use it! Microsoft grrrr!

Have given up for now in total rage & frustration.
There has to be a way to do this!

SO reading the Grauniad did mean I found another job.The money is pretty low but the job is spot on so worth a shot.
That takes me to 4 forms to get done by next Thursday. One more to find then…but where?

I need a copy of Word for Mac :-(.
I’ve finished my first application form of the challenge & was feeling pretty please with it. I was – using google docs as Appleworks doesn’t handle the formatting too well.I was just about to send it off when I thought I’d check the pdf version of the form to see what it should look like. Totally different formatting! Text boxes all over the place. Grrr!

• Research for any jobs found on day 1^{not applicable}

OK going to see if using SMART can get me moving on this.
