Become a librarian

Well, I didn’t get that job. The library director told me that they were impressed with me and that I would have been their second choice, so that’s nice to hear. Of course “you’re hired!” would have been even nicer, but it’s not as though I’m unhappy where I am. Knowing that I made it to number 2 out of 26 applicants is a good feeling. Probably once I’m actually done with library school I’ll be unstoppable!

I had my first professional interview today! I think it went pretty well, but I also know there’s a lot of competition so I’m not getting my hopes up too high. Now I just have to wait to hear something…

I’m currently in school to get my MLIS. It took me a long time to figure out that this is what I want to do with my life, but now I’m pretty certain that it’s the best career for me.
