enjoy the first quarter of 2008 by having one new and fulfilling experience in January, February, and March

She completed 35 years of working for Social Security today. The dinner was at Pi of Southfield. It was great seeing family, meeting friends and playing catch up. The food was fabulous and Kayla and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves~

1) The classes I’ve been taking at MISD for State Board Continuing Education Units- which are necessary to continue to be a certified teacher in Michigan. So far we’ve had two memorable and fantastic teachers. Their methods and application are effective and meaningful.

2) Taking my class to the Henry Ford Museum was incredible yesterday! It was my first time at the IMAX, which was also fantastic. The pieces of history on display in the museum are incredible. I’m going back with my daughter ;)

3) I just got a phone call from the woman who gave my son a hearing test last month. She said we’ve been on her mind because she really wanted him to have the hearing aids he needed. He only wants the ones inside the ear. I didn’t have $4000 for them… she found a company that’s going to donate them!!! She was as happy as I am!!! I told her I asked my prayer partner to be in agreement with me that a way would be made for him to have them. She said in so many words that she prayed that for him as well. I am so happy right now. You have no idea~

I took a 5 hour class based on Marshall Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication. The goal was to learn and develop ways to change the way we speak to others so that relationships are built up instead of torn down. I believe I have a pretty good handle on this, but I can always learn more. It was a terrific experience. I especially enjoyed working in small groups. I learned so much. There was an 85 year old woman (I couldn’t believe it when she told us her age!) She was so full of wisdom and insight. I love making connections with people. It was both rich and profound. they’ve scheduled a couple of follow-up sessions in March. It was definitely fulfilling~

To the Cupcake Station after lunch was a nice new treat that we both enjoyed ;)

Went to see the Alvin Ailey dancers perform… it was my first time and I was thoroughly entertained~

To see Cirque Du Soleil… Aaron and I went last year for the first time. This year we took my daughter and his nephew. They loved it! You never know what to expect at a Cirque show, they’re always full of wonder, color, athletic perfection and imagination. I read that Saltimbanco means: to jump on the bench. This was a great new and fulfilling experience for us, collaboratively~

One of my Christmas gifts from my boyfriend was a day at the spa… so I had a facial (which I didn’t know included a hand and foot rub as well, a full body massage and finally a manicure & pedicure

I am still very relaxed. It was wonderful! I can’t even remember the last time my fingernails were painted- though I usually keep my toe nails done. It was an unforgettable treat. It might be nice to reciprocate~

After being invited, but somehow I’m not on the Team~ Can someone help me out here?
