So I taught the first session of an expository writing class tonight – and I don’t think I am going to lose a single student. Which will mean lots of homework checking, support, teaching…. WAIT – that is one of the things I love to do and they are paying me to do something I love. Thank you Pop-pop, my grandfather, who said to me “Life is work. So love your work.” No wonder he lived so long, smiling.

This is an inspiring “thing”. Yes, I want a life filled with happy people, but other people are welcome. And I think that is what you meant as well – that sometimes bringing people together is all it takes to make the unhappy happy.
I worked for a non-profit and learned a software program that had lots of layers (built on access tables) and I had no manual, no help screen, etc. It was fun to doodle around with it, getting to know it. It is not an intuitive program – I wonder if it is the same one.
Pray for whirled peas!,
