Read one book a month

And I finished Eat, Pray, Love , and am almost done with Middlesex. One book I forgot to put on my “finished” list: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. So, if I just finish Middlesex by the end of this month, then I’ll still be up-to-date, technically, on my book a month thing.

Started Eat, Pray, Love for April, but then finals took priority, then I got distracted and started reading a dog training book by the Monks of New Skete, and then became even more distracted and started Middlesex. So, who knows, by the end of May I might have three books finished.

Eat, Pray, Love....so far I looooovvve it and it’s been an easy go now that I’m on the brink of finals.

Finished Candy Girl for February. It’s an easy read, and as it’s Diablo Cody, it’s of course filled with hilarious hipster anecdotes. There’s a lot that I felt it left out, and I was still left with quite a few questions as to what it’s like to be an unlikely stripper. I wish I had known more about the author, and that there were more observations about the deep down experience of being involved in adult entertainment. Oh, well…
Haven’t quite decided what my next nonfiction choice will be. I’m hoping for something a bit simple, as I’m bogged down with reading enough nonfiction textbooks as it is.

Finished The Bitch in the House, and hope to finish Candygirl by the end of this month…oh yeah, and also finish A Fine Balance….why is this book taking me so friggin’ long?!

Plan on finishing this up tonight in the the tub…next on the list for non-fiction: Candy Girl.

I still have over 200 pages left in A Fine Balance and Christmas is coming and we’re so busy and then before I know it January 1st will be here and then I’ll have screwed off for the third month in a row in finishing this damned book….Okay, it’s not a “damned” book, I’m actually enjoying the read, but seriously, this book is enormous.

Wow…I’m doing poorly on this one. I did start and finish Into The Wild during October, but that wasn’t really the book I had intended to finish. And I’m still working on A Fine Balance…I am SUCH a slow reader. Hopefully I’ll have finished A Fine Balance by the first of the year…hopefully.

I plan on finishing A Fine Balance by the end of this month. It’s a fat book, so I’m going to have to have some marathon nights (I’m a slow reader).
