He didn't . . .

Bill passed away on April 21st. We saw him on the 20th, and we’re prety sure he knew we were there.
Our daughter is doing better finally, but it’s been so tough for her.
Thanks for your many prayers.

Moved him to Michigan

So much going on over the last few weeks, I haven’t signed on here in a few weeks.
We’ve moved Bill and our daughter to his folks’ home in Michigan so he’ll have more family and friends around to love him and help out.
Thanks for your prayers and good thoughts.

Thank you!

First, thank you for all your support. Your cheers have been encouraging.
Sometimes, events come to pass quickly, and it’s difficult to stay up to date.
This coming week, we’re moving Bill up to Michigan to his folks’ home where there will be more family and friends to care fo him. He’s now confined to a wheelchair and hospital bed.
Thank God for Hospice at Home. They are so caring and helpful!
And so it’ll be a busy week while some details are worked out and things are packed up.
There won’t be a trip to Detroit Tigers spring training this year, but he was able to go to the NHL All-Star game in Atlanta this last week. He’s been a diehard Red Wings fan for a long time.
Thanks again for your good thoughts and prayers.

Into 2008

Well, our son-in-law is hanging in there. He and our daughter spent a very nice, quiet Christmas together, just the two of them. Last night they were going out to dinner and then celebrating the New Year with a few friends.
So, so far he’s holding his own and he sounded really good in our phone call with him yesterday.
We still welcome prayers as there are no medical alternatives for improvement of his condition.
Hope you have a happy and prosperous new year.

What else matters right now?

Of course, there’s a lot of past story on this, but from his last MRI this last Tuesday, he’s been advised to contact Hospice. Chemo is no longer an option and neither is surgery or radiation.
Today our daughter said he’s deteriorating by the hour.
They want to share Christmas just the two of them.
They live a long way away . . . southern Georgia.
We feel so hopeless, you know . . . and are praying for spiritual healing for both of them so they can face this well.
Your prayers are welcome!
