Re stain my table

My sister gave me her old kitchen table and she absolutely destroyed it! I kept it because I was in desperate need of a nice-er table. All it needs is to be sanded down and re-stained. I think i’m going to go for a dark top and leave the rest the stain that it already has, instead of having to do the entire table and all 4 chairs (that would get expensive and time-consuming.)
