I think Hinduism is probably one of the most complex and misunderstood religions in the world. I suppose seeing as it is the oldest surviving faith today, that would explain why it is actually more a multi-faceted way of life than a rigid religious doctrine. It’s a goal that will complement my other goal of learning more about Buddhism – its teachings are derived from the Hindu faith, sharing similar, if not identical, concepts like ahimsa (nonviolence), karma (deed) and samsara (rebirth).
It’s good to keep an open mind on some things. I don’t think is any real ‘true’ religion; there are fragments of truth in most faiths.
