I failed so completely! It was horrible. And this time the spider died :(
I was visiting a friend’s and was sitting on the floor when one of THE scary spiders suddenly appeared. My scream was quite impressive. I should have kept my mouth shut and said and done nothing! Maybe if I’d been with someone else it would have turned out ok. When I’m with my family they just ignore me. But not this time. It had to die. I tried suggesting that I could put it in a cup and take it outside, but I really didn’t push it.
And then he just crushed it to death. And it was doing nothing wrong! So I went and cried in the bathroom for 10 minutes.
So pathetic!

I was lying in bed last night when I saw a small spider crawling across my bedroom ceiling.
I was calm, but the way the light shone through the window it made the thing look three times the size. And it was quite a scary kind.
It made it’s way directly over my head, right in the direction of JimJam, my little spider friend who lives with me. JimJam is an even smaller spider, and was defiantely not happy.
For his own safety I had to remove the intruder.

has been living above my bed for the last week. It seems quite happy there and I am quite happy with it there. Now I’m happy with regular spiders and tarantulas, but I haven’t had the chance to meet up with any of the terrifying autumn spiders yet, and that will be the real test.
Sometimes it’s nice to play with little spiders when you find them crawling on yourself. They will absail and really they’re a lot more affectionate than guineapigs I sometimes think. for they are wild and untamable creatures.

This morning I tried to pick up a scary looking big brown spider round the back of Calton Hill, but it wasn’t having any of it. I was spared. But when I got home I had a little surprise. I had ordered some mealworms for the birds to eat, and they were packed in little plastic tubs, one of which had exploded in the box. So when I peeled back the sellotape I was attacked by mealworms springing out at me. And it took me a VERY long time to scoop them all up. Hundreds of them :( Now I’m tired and I don’t want to do anything, but I have to pack for my trip to Norway tomorrow.
Where is my passport????????

Yesterday I found a little spider floating in the air. I tried to let it land on me so I could take it outside, but it kept jumping off me and floating again. Wierdo. Eventually I persuaded it to stay on my hand long enough so that I could sit it on some wood. My current plan is to go back to the botanic gardens on the next sunny day and play with the scary ones.

I was out walking in the botanic gardens today when I saw some scary looking little spiders running around in the rock garden. They were really fast and the kind I don’t like. But before I could think what I was doing I put my hand down in front of one and it touched me >_< I screamed like a pig its true, but that isn’t important. I touched a scary spider! woohoo!

Well I recued a worm from a path today where it might have got squashed. It isn’t technically a spider but its a wriggly kinda thing that I wouldn’t normally try to pick up.
