The new problem I face is running out of storage space. My poor little 60GB drive is almost filled to the brim with music and photos. I have two portable LaCie storage drives, but one is in London… obviously, not very helpful. The other one (the ‘Rugged’ model) is a bit dodgy when it connects, so I’m a little fearful of using it. I’d take it back to the store, except the receipt is, you guessed it… in London. Bah!
I’ve weeded out a whole stack of music to which I never listen, and deleted photos that were either useless or no longer needed. (Did I really need a pic of the ex with a sunburnt back? I think not.) Despite this, I’m still stuck with a card-load of images to download from my camera… and less than 2GB to spare. The poor laptop is running slowly enough as it is, so I’d hate to think what it might do if I were to fill that last bit of space.
Hmmm… time for an upgrade? If only.

Well, duh… :-)
I took this last week in my MIL’s living room, after spending the day out and about with my MIL, BIL and his family. We had a great day together, checking out the countryside and surrounding small towns
I found these bottles at a ‘gem museum’ we visited. I thought the couple of dollars made for a good investment as far as photography props go.

... with my photography class, and had a great time. I know this really belongs under my phohography class goal, but I feel that as it’s got me taking more pics that I should put it here.

I’ve been quite good with taking photos recently… particularly since joining a camera club and commencing a photography course. The test now will be for me to make sure I not only take my camera with me, but remember to pull it out and use it!
Too many times I’ve arrived back home after someone’s birthday or an outing somewhere, only to pull my camera out of my bag and think “oh…”
Well, guess what… it’s my 30th birthday this weekend… I’m going out of town with friends, and taking my camera with me. My birthday present to me (in addition to, of course, the weekend away) will be to take photos... lots of them!
