I wrote a big entry about this, but I think 43 things lost it. Long story short, I fell behind, but now I’m doing pretty well.

This is really happening for me

I am really happy with the way I’ve been getting things done at work recently. That whole “Get Motivated” thing is finally starting to bear fruit. In the past few weeks I’ve started moving things off my desk that have been there for months. One certain project has been there over a year, and I’ve finally made a point to find pockets of time to work on it. I’m about 2/3 done.

It’s been very freeing. Things that have been hanging over my head are finally being handled. I just can’t wait until I’ve gotten through everything.

Overwhelming

I get a headache just from thinking about sitting down and trying to catalogue or prioritize all the little jobs I’ve left unfinished over the years.

There is one in particular that I’m trying to focus on first. I’ve only been working on it off hours, so I don’t get a lot of time for it. Since next weekend won’t be too busy, maybe I’ll go in for a few hours and try to knock a lot of it out.

But when?

I’ve got about a half a dozen things that I really ought to just get out of the way, but I never seem to have the time. Maybe if I make it a life goal, it can help to motivate me.
