So I took the beasts to my sisters for Christmas weekend and they got to frolick in the sticks with Mona the Maltese and Dinky the Boxer. They loved it there! They were great in the car except when I got pulled over and Chico tried to jump out the window at the cop. He scared the shit out of him. It was great. I think my sister took some pictures, I’ll have to get them from her.

Found an old video of Chico wrestling with Zoey the pit bull. They were so cute.

It is so hard to get them both to look at the camera at the same time!!!

(Yeah she’s gotten all kinds on crazy nicknames!)

So last night I was rubbing her belly and it stabbed me. WTF? She has a wire suture sticking through the incision where she was spayed. She’s all healed up besides that. So I called the shelter where I got her and they said that this is common and to just take her to the vet and they will trim it. I called my vet and she said she could get me in but that I should do it myself. They want me to cut wires out of my dogs belly. Wow. I don’t know about all this.

I give each of the dogs a dog biscuit when they go in their crates. Their crates are right next to each other. When I get home I take them out to go potty and Chico runs in and goes in Kiwi’s crate to eat HER biscuit that she didn’t eat. That means he stares at the biscuit all day and waits… weirdo.

is fitting in well. Except she woke me up at 3am to go outside. I wasn’t happy with that at all.

I brought Kiwi home yesterday. See pictures here. She is an absolute lover. She was great in the car. She’s still very puppy like excited about everything and she’s not even close to the scared shaky baby she was in the shelter. As soon as I walked her out of the shelter she took a HUGE pee in the grass (great sign!) and then she hopped in the car like it was no big deal.

When I got her some she met Chico and they were both like, “OMG OMG OMG!!! It’s another Chihuahua!” I swear they’re long lost best friends. They played for awhile, ate, and slept. All together.

Cute things she does so far:
*Makes velociraptor noises when she’s playing
*Kicks at the grass like she’s covering it up after she goes potty, you know, like a cat in a litter box. Chico does this too!
*Stands like a kangaroo when she wants attention.

We’re learning “sit” right now and so far she’s a quick study. She knows to go to the bathroom when she gets outside but I’m not sure how much she knows NOT to use it inside. I’ll have to keep an eye on her. At the shelter they said she was about 8 months. I’m thinking a little younger because her ears aren’t fully sticking up yet. And she acts like a baby. She gets crazy spurts of energy and then passes out. We’ll see.

So far she’s fitting in perfectly!!!
