It’s been difficult. But I have learned to think in new ways about how I shop and I hope to keep the good habits I’ve developed and to continue learning new habits with my shopping.

But I have wee ones so there are a few things that are much easier to get at the big chains. My kids are great when I go out, though, so they won’t mind where we shop and would probably enjoy visiting new places. And there’s this local indoor farmer’s market I’ve been itching to try…. Now, finding a local meat market is the tricky part. I know there’s one up by my brother-in-law but he lives 1+ hour away from me.
We usually shop at this great children’s second-hand store when the wee ones need clothes. And there’s an independent bookstore nearby that we recently discovered. Unfortunately, it’s going out of business.
Now, I’ll just hope the prices are reasonable at the shops I’ll try….
