When I started my job at the hotel, that’s all it was… a job. Then quickly it became a career, something I wanted to do with my life. 3 promotions in under 2 years, things were progressing so quick I could hardly keep up. And then came 2009. My hotel unfortunately battled the same economic misfortunes that plagued the rest of the country, we laid off some amazing people, cut back pay-roll hours, the whole nine yards. And my career path, while remaining secure (thankfully) leveled out. So, with 2010 I’m looking forward to regaining the momentum that I once had and moving towards the next big goals on my path. First, Assistant Front Desk Manager. Then Front Desk Manager. Then Front Office Manager. One step at a time but I’m excited to take the next step on the path…
