learn to sail

I went sailing with my youth group for a week this summer. Usually I don’t get to do much, being small and a girl, since the guys on the boat usually volunteer straight off and many jobs take some strength. But this year my captain knew me well and knew I wanted to really learn how – and started teaching me to sail by “feel,” knowing exactly how to turn the boat into the wind for maximum speed. It felt so good, especially when I could close my eyes and know how to adjust the helm.
