On the back burner but not completely off the stove.

I had applied to about 6 different med schools three years ago and was rejected by every one of them. I have to say that I’m not surprised though, because of where I live and because of my lack of undergrad volunteer experience. I still got a fantastic mark on my MCATs, my grades were decent but I was missing that thing that put me above 10 000 other applicants. It was a spark that I was missing – I had lost it with my life slowly crumbling around me, and I lost my goals due to depression. Now I’m starting to get that spark back. It may take me a few more years, and I may do naturopathy instead of allopathic medicine, but I am confident that some day medicine and I will meet again.
