iv tried giving up ice quite a few times and it hasnt worked out. so since reading some of the other stuff on here about how its linked to iron deficiency, this week iv bought some liquid iron formula – floradix – and its proving a success. i mean im still eating it but in considerably smaller doses, i dont have cravings for it, and i dont seem to get the same kick out of eating it like i did when i was satisfying a huge craving. i think that having been eating it for the last seven years or so has made me have a kind of psychological dependence of it which goes beyond just craving it, but hopefully when the craving goes away I wont have that anymore. anyway all being well im on the way to giving up eating ice for good – yipee :)

theres another group of people addicted to ice under ‘stop chewing ice’ – lots of advice for givin up there.
last week i decided to give up ice. so far its going ok… reckon im on to my 9th day ice free now, ok not completely ice free il still eat the ice if its in a drink when im out but loads of people do that. what im pleased about is that im no longer filling up trays of ice just to binge on. for anyone who is trying to give up ice i found eating frozen raspberries to be a nice replacement over the first few days :)
omg, i cannot believe there is an actual cause for this and that there are other people out there who crave ice too! i (and all my friends) thought i was wierd for it but it actually makes a lot of sense. this is amazing lol!!!
