I’ve successfully continued learning German with Duolingo for 100 days. It’s a good thing I’ve set a nice, long, two year goal, ‘cause I’m crap at it right now.

I’ve slipped into “practice only” mode: I haven’t done any translations or any new lessons in a few days, but I’m still practising at least once a day. Last night I had to get back out of bed and head to the computer as I’d forgotten my German practise for the day. Only 632 days left to learn to converse simply.
I record myself reading the Bible (almost) everyday and I practice German everyday. I suppose it was only a matter of time before I combined the two; today I recorded myself stumbling through Matthew 1 from the German Luther Bible. Once I can speak German fluently I can come back and see my progress.
Today will be day 87 of my quest to learn German. Currently I’m using Duolingo.com and I love it. I tell myself everyday that if I practice everyday, even a little, then after two years I should be able to have a simple conversation.
