Did some over the holidays -sorted frames & pictures. Also redid all the kitchen cabinets & the dining buffet cabinets so items are categorized better & easier to get to. Little things, but they do add up.

I organized my pantry again. With two teens with thier gazillion friends going in and out constantly, it needed it. I think I am getting a bit obsessed though. It is like the one thing I can get tidy and it stays that way for atleast a little while.
Now I need to get on to the bigger picture items: scheduling, documenting, & enforcing home life! This sounds like I want some rigid schedule & I don’t -I just want to have all activities and commitments all written down so I don’t stress & worry over missing or being late to something important.
I think it would significantly simplify my life & allow me to relax more. Focus on more important things. No more waking up in the middle of the night reciting lists to myself so that I won’t forget what I have to do in the morning. I will get there -the pantry is a baby step in the right direction. Today the pantry; Tomorrow my life!
I am pulling everything out -then cleaning, purging, & sorting. I am actually looking forward to doing this in some weird way. It is only a tiny portion of what all I need to do & there may be more important items I need to organize, but atleast this will be one check off the endlessly expanding list.(Well for atleast for a month or two -until it needs to be done again)
I’m extremely organized a work but not at all at home. Here are the items I’m going to focus on: Keeping an up-to-date calendar with both mine & the kid’s activities, social events, committments, tasks, etc. on it. (View & Update the calendar every evening) Next -better my filing/sorting system for mail, bills, coupons, inspirational quotes and artwork.
