scuba dive

Money is making this a little difficult right now. But I sure do miss the bliss of being underwater. It is so peaceful!

Did two dives in Nassau while on a cruise a couple of weeks ago. It was really great to get underwater again, but not near as nice as diving in the Grand Bahama Island. When diving the Bahamas before, it was for a week and just about all we did was dive so it really was a different type of vacation. Just as nice is its own way, but different. I didn’t see as much intense coral near Nassau. I do love seeing all the macro bits underwater and there is always plenty to see if you only look. I have a new digital camera and plan on getting a underwater case for it. Can’t wait to try it out. Rented an underwater camera years ago while diving and really enjoyed it.

I’m ready to plan my next dive. I’d like to do an adults only trip next so I can completely relax. When diving with the kids your always on slight alert, as much focused on them as what is around you. It is a special thing to share with them but sometimes you want to give nature your all without other distractions and worry.

I am so ready to do a drive trip. All my equipment is at the shop to get checked out. I’ll pick it up next week. I found out my youngest daughter’s best friend and her mom also dive. Which is great -because my older daughter has a best friend who dives already, but youngest didn’t. We will probably go to Vortex (a spring close by) for a quick first of the year dive to make sure everybody is ready then go out into the gulf and check out a wreck. This picture is of one of my daughters and her dad a few years ago. Everyone else was in wet suits and skins but she twirls and dashes so much she never gets cold.
