Removing this from my list because I’ve done it a couple of times now. The key for me was to find out how and keep taking the next step. I do it slowly at my own pace and that’s okay because I continue to enjoy the entire process. I find it relaxing and will continue for now to always be working on something.

Just completed a simple baby quilt. I wanted to learn how to make praire points. It looks neat and complicated but was easier than it appears. It’s tied and ready to be mailed away to a friend. Yay. Now I need to keep working on my attic windows. I think I’m going to make it smaller than I had originally figured. It very unusual looking but I’m not really in love with the colors. It was just scrap I happened to have around. It will look fantastic but not something I want to make huge.

Kind off hold.

Completed the first one for Project Linus. The best part of making the quilt is being amazed by your finished product. Working on another small baby one that could be finished quickly – just don’t have the time to sit down and enjoy the process due to lack of time. Still have another large on that is in the making and probably will be for a long time. That’s okay though. It’s only fun to me if I get to enjoy the process and not be rushed.

Quilts are on hold until after the holidays. Haven’t really had time to think of them but mostly it’s not the time to lay them out and take up so much space. Looking forward to finishing two in the beginning of the new year.

Will work on quilt tonight with E.

Puppy quilt is layed out but not on frame yet. That’s next. The fun part is upon us. It will come together quickly at this point. I’ve really learned so much but I still have a lot to learn. Bless e for sharing her know how with me and doing the steps with me so I don’t forget.

The puppy quilt has it’s “frame” on it. Must purchase the batting and the threads this week. I need to rewash and iron the backing. It has too many folds in it I can’t work with. E liked it and so do I. It’s really turning out nice. If I work a little quicker we can get it on a frame. I’m not usually hurried but I want to donate it for the holidays so I don’t want to doddle. I will take a photo of this and post it when I’m finished. It’s too cute and so so simple of a quilt to make.

I put lots of blocks together. E loved it. I’ve probably got more than a third put together. Hope we have another quiet Sunday so I can do a bunch more. I can’t believe I’m actually working on two quilts. E gave me instruction on the Project Linus (pj) quilt. It’s a much simpler quilt. It won’t take long to make and it is so so so cute. We love it.

Football Sunday

I like the sound of football games on TV. I don’t think I could sit and watch them. It was a great quiet football Sunday and I allowed myself to sew a good part of the day. I got so many nine squares together and it was a really good feeling to see what the quilt is going to look like. Miss E will be very pleased.

this weekend

Will remove extra stitching from the doggie fabric so I can wash and iron it.
