learn to compost

I have located an old plastic trash can with a lid that I can recycle as a compost bin. I need holes drilled in it and I’m too busy to stop and do this at the moment. I’ll ask a teenager to do it when I see one.

Okay, I’ve research bins. I find them kind of expensive for something one can make. I’m a little on the cheap side. Plus before I purchase one i want to learn how to do this on a simple scale to help me understand what I’m paying for. I researched different ways to make one and I’m going to go with the, hopefully, recycled, plastic garbage can method. I liked this one because I could keep a lid on it instead of only throwing a tarp on it. My next check is checking around the garage and shed and see if I already have one I can use. I think I can probably come up with one. Will do this on next pleasant day. I wonder if we do this all winter. I’ll have to look that up.

I will search internet on this. Probably won’t have time today and that’s okay. Will be able to alot some time tomorrow (maybe tonight if I get everything else done). I’m kind of cheap. Don’t want it to be too expensive.

I’ve always wanted to do this so what a great goal for 43things to help me accomplish.
