I’m noticing that it takes time and some thought to eating healthy. Since working over the holidays I’ve been too busy to consider this and the entire house is failing. I have continued to pack lunches for my husband, which helps and I take my own lunch which helps. The holidays have added alot of treats around and I think the kids are living off of those. I need to think this out better.

Really, I just got on the computer to look up some recipes. I have a little time to prepare some healthy food for the next few days. It’s key for me to have good stuff around and ready edible.
it looks a lot like winter outside, I was delighted to still have thriving herbs growing in the garden. I was really trying to dig up a few carrots but I couldn’t find them. I never realized how many things in a garden can last beyond warm weather.
I love this site, it always reminds me to do things. Must thaw the meat for beef and barley soup. I’ll take some to my 92 year old girlfriend because she gets meals on wheels and doesn’t think that’s very tasty. I think she’ll love it.
I need to work tonight so dinner will be made before I go and I will take my own. It’s funny that I could have pizza right there are the thought isn’t oh I get pizza it’s I don’t want to get stuck eating the pizza. But the entire family won’t eat differently because I’m gone.
I have a busy week but I’ve worked hard to prepare foods ahead to keep me and everyone else eating well. I even took J and his roommate homemade dinner last night. He was complaining about being too busy to get a chance to eat and when he does theirs nothing available because the cafetaria is closed. I gotta take our future brain food.
Did a good job cooking yesterday for the week. I still need to finish up a bunch of things. Drank water like I should.
I need to drink more water. I’ve kind of gotten out of the habit. It is a habit. I have a good part of the day to concentrate on cooking and baking. I WILL remember to stay organized and on top of this as we enter the busiest part of the year. I will keep healthy foods handy without going crazy doing it. It’s too important to fall down the priority list.
I realize to maintain the best eating habits we can thru the crazy holidays I need to consider and organize now. Starting with Thanksgiving, I’ve pared down my menu. I think off all the waste and overstuffing. I will only prepare about 1/2 the food I usually do. Can’t stand waste anyway and this way I’ll be sure not to have waste and not to have too many heavy fatty leftovers. Did not buy snacks for school lunches because there’s ususally so much junk around thru the season, I intend on doing the holiday baking throughout the next three months. Holiday baking will be included as school snacks. I will stay focused each day.
