Today is the last slot of hours I’ll have so I need to list the few things I’ve been procrastinating and just do it or it will drive me crazy.
Call insurance company.
Call cfca
make sure all bills were pd
call ccom
write a note to sign perm. slip tonight
brown hamburger so it doesn’t go bad.
make cookies for lunch boxes
Note it’s always the calls I procrastinate. I hate tracking down all the paperwork, finding the number, the dreaded chain of automated directions, and then the wait and maybe someone can help you or it leads to doing it all over again.

I always procrastinate storing stuff away in the basement. I let it sit upstairs for, well, months on end. I was very proud of myself yesterday for gathering all the things that needed to be stored away and then just doing it. It only took 10 minutes but not having that clutter around will make me feel good for a long, long time.

I’ve been way too busy to procrastinate anything.

Too busy 13 months ago

I’ve found lately that I’m way too busy to procrastinate at all. With the holidays around the corner I feel like a giant storm is approaching.

Mission accomplished 13 months ago

It was this goal and my entry that propelled me into accomplishing what I set out to do and now my mind is a little more free. I hate how stupid little things can bog me down so much. My mottos are “just do it” and “every journey begins with the first step”.

What I did 13 months ago

I procrastinated these things because when I sat down to do them it took most of a day. I never have large blocks of time and everything else has to suffer to accomplish them. Never found the paper J was looking for. Took him what I had, he’ll work on it from there.

Did pull everything I had for insurance papers. Still need to make the copies I got side tracked (not on purpose). Will copy them today and try to hit the mail even though the packet isn’t complete. Will send rest as soon as I get it.

Feel better though that I can almost put these things to rest and get them out of mind. Then it will be on to something else because “there’s always something pending”.

Haven't had time 13 months ago

There has been no time to procrastinate anything for a while. I don’t know if this is good or bad. I’m posting though because I have some tasks which I’d just feel better if they got done today so I’m posting.

Copy and send off insurance documentation. I’m procrastinating because my printer always frustrates me. I think I’ll just get the papers and take them to the library on my way to class. It will be easier.

Get ahold of J and find out why last financial aid hasn’t been released. He may need to make calls but I’ll see if I can find any info on computer and who to call or what actions to take.

These will be my priorities of the entire day. Not that I won’t be doing everything else. These will be done first.

For today 19 months ago

I’ve been procrastinating cooking and baking. I don’t really enjoy it so I know why I procrastinate but I still have alot to get done and it’s the perfect yucky day to stay inside and get it done and the kids will love me even more for it.

Procrastinating again 19 months ago

I’m currently procrastinating helping my son get ready for college. The paperwork is intimidating but I think a great deal of it is done now. I have to pay attention to the checklist from the college. I need to make a checklist of my own. I know from the first one going to college they’ll be so many things to get done before Sept that it will become overwhelming.

Lists 21 months ago

I always procrastinate less when I make a list. I guess if I listed on here I’d be more prompt to X things off because I’d feel a little embarrassed if I didn’t (even though no one would probably notice – but I would). Lists are good for me because they always remind me of what the most important things are to get done. I use this goal on this site often to challenge me to take care of the more minor things I put off, yet the things that keep my mind anxious because they keep popping up and I know I need to take care of them. When these tasks are completed it gives me a sense of feel being that I enjoy. Oh so for today I will: Put away the Christmas CDs that have been sitting in the kitchen since the Holidays. Small but the space will be clear and the CDs will be where I’ll find them next year and they won’t get ruined.
