Obviously I’m still recycling pretty well because it’s created a huge mess in the garage. Need to take the time to sort it and send it on it’s way. Didn’t buy anything new for the holidays except a few cards.

I will be careful of what I bring into the house over the holidays. I’ll practice reducing that amount. It’s the time of year I can sometimes mindless buy. I won’t. It’s still better to stay out of the stores as much as possible at this time to avoid the things I DO NOT need.
It helps to stay out of the stores. No impulse buying and then wondering why you bought something anyway.
Sometimes it’s this reuse part that adds clutter to my life. I’ve always got to be careful about what I save. I’ve focused on saving some things only a month and if they’re not used then they are recycled. Still need to find permanent homes for these things so I don’t get tired of looking at them and just throw them away.
Made tons of spagehetti sauce and I think we’re getting tired of it. Will freeze the rest because I know if I don’t it will go to waste and if I do it will save a lot of time another day because dinner will already be made.
I made a goal last year to make a quilt for Project Linus. I love that quilting is the ultimate in recycling. I used an old curtain I had stored away, an old table cloth and an old sheet. They were all in perfect shape just not anything I’d use now. I can’t believe how they’re coming together to make something entirely new and lovely.
Separated everything and it’s gone. It’s a good feeling. Disappointed in myself though for having so much food waste. It’s not like me. If I don’t get rid of it though it pertetuates more waste. Keeping the frig clean and organized really makes all the difference.
Okay, it’s Mon that’s trash day. I’ve spent the week reducing which I feel good about now I need to spend a little time separating the recycling so all that reducing doesn’t end up in the wrong place. It might sound boring or silly but doing these things does give me a sense of well being. When ever I know I’ve done the right thing, as my kids would say, it’s a bucket filler.
Focusing much on reducing. I Hate stuff. My husband is not a “stuff” person and neither am I. It’s society tell our children the have to have so many things. I’ve always tried to teach them they don’t. I think I’ll ponder this because my older kids are not “stuff” people either. It’s only the younger ones. Okay the deal with stuff is you don’t own it – it owns you. I believe it’s really important that the stuff you have you truly love because it’s going to cause you work.
