Not quite as well as planned.

Apparently, I’m made of fail and lose, where this one’s concerned.

I found someone warm to sleep next to (well, on top of, really – we were on a couch, not much room. But he was mighty comfortable.) and slept worse than usual. Great. But isn’t that always the way, with someone new? I mean, we laid down and turned the lights off earlier than I usually do, but he was talking and talking and babbling on well into the wee hours. Ah well. Maybe I’ll try again some time.

And now I’m going to stop procrastinating by putzing around on the internet. Going to go do dishes (wishing we had our fancy new dishwasher already, but alas, not until monday) and then hitting bed. color me thrilled.



loneliness is not an excuse.

I avoid bed because the man I love is hours away and falling asleep without him next to me is a lonely business. Especially with my perpetually cold feet.

So I stay awake until I am too exhausted to spend any time lying awake, thinking. Distracting myself into the wee hours of the night, with anything and everything. Until I crash into bed and immediately pass out. I mean, I guess it works, but it’s probably not really GOOD for me…
