I keep going over this in my mind and even if it is a glass bottle I still don’t want to polute the ocean anymore. Especially after reading about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. If I threw the bottle off the coast of Oregon that is where my bottle would end up. I just can’t do it! I already recycle but I will probably put more effort into it just to make sure that more garbage does not end up in the ocean and harm wildlife.

I don’t know what the consequences to the environment would be.I am not goint to throw a plastic bottle into the ocean but I don’t know if glass would be much better. I know that if the glass bottle stayed in the water it would eventually be broken back down into sea glass and eventually sand. But what if the broken bottle washes up onto the shore before the edges are rounded. Someone somwhere walking barefoot on the beach could cut their foot. :( I will have to look into this a little bit more.
