Quebec

When I first thought about this I was thinking overseas but I came up with the idea that once I earn another week of vacation(4 weeks total) in about 2 years I could live the entire month in Quebec. I would be imersed in French so I would be able to practice speaking a lot. I am thinking of Montreal and visiting Quebec city.

What would I need to do

The other day I was going over my list wondering if I would ever be able to do this before I retired.I thought about all of the things going on in my life and how would I ever be able to just move to another country. I want to buy a house in 2011, I have a job, I even thought about my cat. After writing them down and thinking of solutions this is not so daunting now. I can still buy a house. I already have a roommate that will be paying me rent. I could just rent out my bedroom while I am gone. That way my mortgage would still get paid. My cat, well I know my brother would love to have him so that would not be difficult letting him live there for a year or so. The only thing that might be a little difficult is my job. I don’t want to give up a good job with out being sure that I could come back or find a better one. So what I am going to have to do is find a job where I can work from home(anywhere in the world) which is a good possibility for the company I work for now, I just have to learn a foriegn language and become fluent in it or find a better job that I could work anywhere in the world or invest/save enough money to take time off but then again I would have to figure out what to do for an income before the money ran out and I don’t think my current position would be open for me when I came back.
