... but some people hate it. It’s a great job for extroverts (and megalomaniacs)! Do you bask in attention? I hope so. If too much attention drains you, prepare to be drained. I’m a borderline extrovert/introvert and I have been a science teacher for five years. I started as a New York City Teaching Fellow, which is a funded alternate route pathway to certifcation in NYC. I didn’t hate it but I did feel frustrated by the way things are run. Working with kids is generally wonderful, but the time I spent actually teaching wasn’t the hardest part of the job, for the most part.
