I gave away some books, dvds and cds. More to go still. I packed some clothing to be given for charity, but don’t know where to take them as I don’t trust UFF.
Later: There seems to be a Salvation Army fleamarket close to a place I’m going to on Monday anyway, I think I’ll take them there.
They also pick things up, so if I don’t find a new home for the rest of the stuff I have weeded out by mid-November, I’ll call them and have them pick the boxes up.

I haven’t gone through all the cds yet, but have liberated (see Bookcrossing) some books, given away some, and given away some dvds and games.

My next step will be listening through my cds and making legal copies of the songs I like and getting rid of the rest.

I’m thinking of going through this in two phases: First weeding out things I don’t need or want (even if I like them). Then later look again at the things I don’t need but have felt too attached to to get rid of.
I noticed many things have good memories attached to them but that in most cases I don’t need to keep the item to keep the memories, but a photo of it will do. And digital photos don’t take much space.
