Now my raw speed seems to be between 51 and 62 wpm (average around 57 wpm) and my adjusted speed between 47 and 62 wpm (average around 51 wpm). That’s some improvement, though I still have a way to go.
I wonder how much simply getting a good keyboard affected the speed. I like the light clicky touch of this new keyboard.

30 minutes of typing exercises daily (if possible) this month. That ought to improve things.

A text in English (not my native language and with words like extraterrestrial and inexhaustible) gave me 44wpm. I wish there was some way for Linux to measure one’s normal typing.

It seems my husband types at speeds of about 110 wpm (corrected wpm). It’s just plain intimidating!

Today my speed was 30 WPM with 2 mistakes (adjusted speed 28 WPM). I’m not sure whether it was proper touch typing, but I didn’t look at the keyboard more than 2 or 3 times.

I id a typing speed test and currently my typing spped when trying to type properly is 14 WPM with 6 mistakes (adjusted speed 8 WPM). Very bad compared to my “any finger will do” method (about 40 WPM).
Slightly later same day: 14 WPM, no mistakes.
