Went on a 5-mile hike this weekend and decided that it is highly unlikely that I will be able to thru-hike the entire 2,170 mile Appalachian Trail from GA to ME. So my goal now is to hike a 100 mile section along the TN/NC border. I think this is a reasonable goal for someone like me who is not an avid hiker/outdoorsman.
