Get another tattoo

Finally I completed this goal on June 18th! I absolutely love my new tattoo and can’t believe how nice it came out. It is perfect!

My appointment is at 4pm on Wednesday and I’m excited and a little nervous at the same time. She scheduled me for 3 1/2 hours and I really hope the pain isn’t the same as my first one. Even if it is, it won’t be unbearable. After she is done this time, I have to schedule another appointment for the coloring.

with someone experienced in tattooing realistic drawings is a must for me. I’m not feeling comfortable with this person because he doesn’t seem to be able to do what I want. I won’t compromise on this tattoo and I want to have another opinion on how small I can get my tattoo and still be able to keep the detail. (among other questions)

Well he didn’t really do anything to my mermaid picture and I was a bit disappointed. However, after thinking about it, I realized this opened up the question of what I really wanted. My DH helped me with some ideas and we got some tracing paper and revamped her. I came up with the ideas by myself and drew them out and feel really proud of my drawing. I’m going to take them in again and see if it is possible to have her tattooed in a smaller form.

and talked to Ben about what I was wanting as a tattoo. I really like the lifelike mermaid and baby drawing I found, but he wanted to change it to look better on my shoulder. I want to convey motherhood and have it also reflect who I am. The mermaid is feminine and also represents the Pisces part of me. I love the ocean, so this fits right in with who I am. I can’t wait to see what the artist comes up with.

Hopefully by the end of this month I will have my new tattoo.

My birthday is just around the corner and I don’t want to put this off because I’m too busy to think about it. It is important to me and I want to make sure I get the right one that means something special for me. I’m still not sure exactly what I want, so I think I’m going to spend some time thinking about what I want this tattoo to convey.

I know that this tattoo is going to be about motherhood and my 2 girls. It has to represent the connection between us and the love that is between a mother and a daughter.

about getting a tattoo that represents motherhood. I’ve found a mermaid and merbabe that I really love and may have an artist personalize it for me. I’d also like to incorporate my daughters names into the design as well.

I’m really thinking about getting a tattoo that represents the love of my life. My hubby is a pilot and that is truly who he is. He loves to fly. I’ve told him I’d like to get a tattoo near my bikini line of the plane he flies coming in for a “landing”. He wants to design the runway numbers that would go just above the “landing strip”. hehehehe

This is even more exciting because my hubby is excited about it too.

I’ve decided that I would like to get my next tattoo on my birthday. I’d love to have a really good tattoo artist help me design a unique tattoo. I still haven’t decided what (or where) I would like, but I’ve got 11 months to get the perfect design.

August 1st, 2006 marked the anniversary of my brother’s death and my mom and I really wanted to get a tattoo in memory of him. I also wanted to include something in memory of my father. I chose the chinese symbols for father and brother. But I also wanted something that was important for myself. I chose a tribal phoenix but decided to have them color it with purple, red and orange.

I absolutely love my tattoo and would love to get another one in the near future. I’ve not even come close to deciding what that might be.
