clean out the garage

I finally went through all the kids clothes and decided that my 3 yr old doesn’t need a huge assortment of hand-me-downs as she ages. I also got all her outgrown clothes and sorted out the best ones. Our town is having a huge consignment sale and I’ve tagged all the clothes and hopefully will make enough to be worthwhile. Whatever doesn’t sell, I’ve decided that it will be donated.

At least this is a small start to the abundance of clutter in the garage. Next on the list are the items that need to be sold on craigslist and the bike that needs to be taken to the bike shop for some cash.

Very cold weather and decluttering of the house has led to an overabundance of junk in the garage! I can’t get out there to sort through it and it just seems to pile up. At least I’ve found an outlet to consign all the outgrown girl clothes that I have. I need to tag everything, but once that is done, I will have some more space!

My garage is still full of stuff and it has been way too cold to even think about decluttering it. I will say, I have made an effort to sell some things on craigslist that have helped. I’m sure I will have a ton of things to sell once I can organize and figure out what we need to get rid of.

are piled up in the garage now. I took all of Mister’s stuff from the desk area downstairs and put it out there for him to sort. I still have the crib, a road bike, a quilt rack, and various other things to sell on craigslist. There are so many things that just need to be gone through and most of them aren’t mine. That is the frustrating part because Mister isn’t home enough to go through his things.

Perhaps I will sort out as much of his stuff as I can and see where that leads me. I really want to get some of this done before it gets too cold outside.

Since I’ve been decluttering the office space, I have more stuff out in the garage for the hubby to go through. And I’ve got other things I’m trying to sell on craigslist that aren’t having much interest. There is a bunch of other stuff that just needs to be cleared out. With the colder weather approaching, I need to get off my duff and see what I can do.

I think I will try doing this tomorrow and see how much I can get through.

Yesterday it was so nice outside that I decided to let the girls play while I worked on the garage. I’ve got some really big things that need to find a new home. But I went through some boxes and at least 1/4 of the garage is nicely stored on our shelves.

Time to sell the crib, freecycle the twin bed, and take the road bike to the used bike shop.

My garage is full of so much stuff and I cannot wait to start decluttering it. We have a lot of items that we need to either sell or put on Freecycle. There are lots of stuff in boxes that need to be gone through. I’m a pack rat in some cases where I hope to be able to use something but then never get the chance. These things need to go.

At least we can get both are cars in the garage, so my work won’t be as bad as if it were scattered all over. As soon as we have a good warm day, I will start on the shelves and purge / throw away / or keep. My goal is to get rid of 40 percent of the stuff lying around.
