I love the FlyLady and all her exquisite advice to help de-clutter and keep your house in order. I’m in the process of creating my Control Journal, defining my Zones, and making the list of items to do for each. I’ve even got my oldest daughter’s room “Zoned” for cleaning each day. I’m hoping that she won’t feel overwhelmed when I say it’s time to clean your room. Now it will be “It’s time to clean your Zone”. :o)
I’ve still got some de-cluttering I need to do before I can put the FlyLady routines into practice, but most of my house is ready. I’ve got the downstairs coat closet, under my bed, upstairs loft and my hubby needs to purge his closet area.
This is great!

I’ve wanted to do this for a very long time, but never seemed like I had the motivation to do it. Finally last week I took a whole day on the weekend and helped the kids stay busy so I could do magic. I purged my closet and cleaned out 2 garbage bags of clothes. Rearranged the girls room and got rid of 1 garbage bag of kid toys. Made room for plastic labeled bins of many of their toys and moved some of the toy storage into their closet. I cleaned off my desk. I also cleaned out the armoire and moved it into my office and swapped it with a dresser. Now it’s full of all my stamping and scrapbooking stuff.
Whew! I felt so good getting rid of all the crap that has built up in my house. When I come home now I love to walk in the house. I also took another day to rearrange the kitchen and de-clutter the counters. :o)
Now my goals are to clean/purge the laundry closet, the garage, and the top shelves in my bedroom closet. Lots of work, but it is really worth it!
