Since I made this a goal, a few major things happened.
1. I had to move house at short notice. I needed the money from my job to move, so I ended up staying at my job rather than quitting to go backpacking as planned.
2. I lost about $1000 on related moving costs.
3. My tax return wasn’t processed, and I didn’t want to leave without my extra thousand bucks.
I did manage to take a Christmas/New Year’s trip through regional NSW with my partner. We went up through the manning valley, and camped out for the week whilst seeing the over-looked sights of the countryside. I kept a map, marking it out as we covered the thousands of Kilometers, I can upload it after it’s scanned. Our main point of camping was in good old Harrington, home of my mission work from previous summers.
